2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes turned in a second consecutive disappointing start in Monday's 7-5 win over the Pirates. Burnes pitched 6 innings but allowed five runs on eight hits (including two home runs) and a walk with five strikeouts. The consensus fantasy ace still has a 3.01 ERA and 11.08 K/9 rate on the season through 26 starts, but his numbers in the second half alone are much worse to the tune of a 5.24 ERA in eight starts. Fantasy managers are unlikely to sit Burnes, but it may be hard to trust him in difficult matchups during the fantasy playoffs. Fortunately, he will have a decent opportunity to rebound in his next start at the Diamondbacks.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
