Bills Release O.J. Howard Tuesday
2 years agoThe Buffalo Bills released tight end O.J. Howard on Tuesday, according to sources. There had been reports all summer long suggesting that Howard was in danger of being cut, and now it's official. The 27-year-old former Tampa Bay Buccaneer looked slow and failed to separate from defenders in training camp, so he'll now look for work on the open market. In his final season with the Bucs in 2021, he hauled in 14 of his 21 targets for just 135 yards and one touchdown in 17 regular season games (nine starts). Buffalo will move forward with Dawson Knox, Tommy Sweeney and Quintin Morris on their tight end depth chart.
