Colts Release Phillip Lindsay
2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts released running back Phillip Lindsay on Tuesday, according to a source. Lindsay wasn't on the fantasy radar heading into the 2022 season behind both Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines, but he was battling for the No. 3 job in training camp and the preseason. With Lindsay now out of the picture, Deon Jackson should be the favorite for No. 3 duties, with Ty'Son Williams and rookie D'Vonte Price behind him. Lindsay played in 14 combined games (one start) for the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins last year, carrying the rock 88 times for 249 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches on five targets for 45 yards and an additional score. He should be able to latch on with another team as RB depth.
