Jets Release Tevin Coleman Tuesday
2 years agoThe New York Jets released running back Tevin Coleman on Tuesday, according to sources. Coleman was never going to enter the 2022 regular season with much of a role behind Michael Carter and rookie Breece Hall, but he lost out on the competition to be the No. 3 back. Ty Johnson and rookie Zonovan Knight will now be battling for No. 3 duties behind Carter and Hall to open the regular season. In his lone season with the Jets in 2021, Coleman had 84 carries for 356 yards and no touchdowns, adding 11 receptions (16 targets) for 49 yards in 11 games (five starts).
