Tyron Smith Expected To Return This Year
2 years agoDallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that eight-time Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith (hamstring, knee) is expected to play in 2022. "I expect to have Tyron back. And be back for the meat of the season," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. Jones had surgery recently to fix an avulsion fracture in his left knee after his hamstring muscle was pulled off the bone. Losing the 31-year-old left tackle is a huge blow for the Cowboys to begin the year, but it could've been worse. For now, expect rookie first-rounder Tyler Smith to be thrown right into the fire in Week 1 as quarterback Dak Prescott's blind-side protector.
