2 years agoThe Houston Astros reportedly offered free-agent outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) a multi-year contract on Wednesday. According to Pat Ragazzo of SI.com, he was recently offered a two-year, $30 million contract by the Astros. The 29-year-old underwent surgery on his right shoulder in mid-April but could return as a designated hitter for a contending team in September. Conforto has until Aug. 31 to sign with a team or he will not be eligible to play in the postseason. He slashed .232/.344/.384 with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, 52 runs and a stolen base over 479 plate appearances in 125 games for the Mets in 2021. Conforto would provide the Astros with a potent left-handed power bat if both parties can agree on a deal by the deadline.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
