2 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) was out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels with a back injury. According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, the 33-year-old is not expected to be placed on the injured list. "He is not able to do the level of exercises he does to get ready every day," said Boone. "Could be out a couple of days, but won't be an IL situation." He is considered day-to-day but is available off the bench on Wednesday. DJ LeMahieu will handle first base duties while Rizzo is sidelined. The Yankees are off on Thursday; Rizzo's next chance to return will be Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
