Marcus Maye Arrested Thursday
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints safety Marcus Maye was arrested Thursday morning for aggravated assault with a firearm, according to a source. His attorney said in a statement that Maye "vehemently denies the allegation." It's a big deal after the Saints signed him to a three-year, $28.5 million deal in free agency in order to be the starter opposite newcomer Tyrann Mathieu. The Saints secondary is deep, which is why they traded Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week. But suddenly their secondary could be a question mark heading into Week 1 of the regular season against the Atlanta Falcons if Maye is unable to play. Stay tuned for more updates on this situation.
