Eagles Claim Trey Sermon On Thursday
2 years agoThe Eagles claimed running back Trey Sermon off waivers. Sermon, who was waived by the 49ers on Wednesday, was selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He entered last season with plenty of hype. However, for multiple reasons, he played only nine games and finished the year with 41 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old will now have a fresh start in Philadelphia. Yet, he currently sits behind Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and Boston Scott on the depth chart, so his value in redraft formats is currently non-existent. That said, dynasty managers can consider holding on to Sermon a little longer to see if he can turn things around.
