2 years agoThe New Orleans Saints officially placed rookie first-round offensive tackle Trevor Penning (foot) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, assuring that he'll miss at least the first four games of the regular season. Penning is out indefinitely after having surgery on a torn ligament in his foot, and he's expected to miss well beyond the first four games of the year. With Penning on the shelf to open the 2022 campaign, veteran tackle James Hurst is expected to start at left tackle on quarterback Jameis Winston's blind side.
