White Sox Put Luis Robert On Paternity List
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) on the paternity list on Friday and selected the contract of outfielder Mark Payton from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The team also moved left-hander Aaron Bummer to the 60-day injured list. Robert left the team on Thursday to be with his pregnant wife, and he's likely to miss another day or two before rejoining the team. The 25-year-old hasn't played since Aug. 25 due to a lingering wrist injury, but perhaps he can rejoin the starting lineup early next week. AJ Pollock has been seeing time in center field with Robert sidelined, and he's gone 11-for-47 (.234) with three home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored in 11 games in the last 14 days.
