Julio Jones Should Be Bucs No. 3 Option In Passing Game
2 years agoThe Athletic's Greg Auman thinks Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran wide receiver Julio Jones (if healthy) should be a strong No. 3 option this year behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Jones can be dangerous in the red zone. Russell Gage has been limited by a hamstring injury but should be in line for a higher volume of targets and catches, although he's unlikely to be on the field much in the red zone. Auman finds it hard to picture any of the tight ends -- Kyle Rudolph, Cameron Brate and rookie Cade Otton -- having any more than five touchdowns apiece. Jones, 33, looked finished while battling injuries and playing in only 10 regular season games with the Tennessee Titans last year, but he could bounce back with quarterback Tom Brady in 2022 if he can stay on the field. Give him a look as a late-round flier in deeper leagues.
