X-Rays Negative On Andrew Benintendi
2 years agoX-rays on the right wrist of New York Yankees outfielder Andrew Benintendi came back negative after he left the game early on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Benintendi will go for an MRI exam on Saturday. The 28-year-old injured his wrist on a swing on Friday. It's good news that X-rays came back negative, but Benintendi isn't out of the woods yet and is unlikely to be in the starting lineup on Saturday, so fantasy managers must plan accordingly. If Benintendi is forced to the injured list, it would mean more playing time for Aaron Hicks and Oswaldo Cabrera in the outfield. Since being dealt to the Bombers at the Aug. 2 trade deadline, Benintendi has gone 27-for-113 (.239) with two home runs, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and four stolen bases in 32 games.
