Allen Lazard A Candidate For 1,000-Yard Season?
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard has already been referred to as the team's No. 1 receiver by quarterback Aaron Rodgers with Davante Adams now in Las Vegas. The coaching staff says Lazard looks at himself as that kind of guy and is ready to assume the mantle. Lazard was 11th in the league in end-zone targets last year, so there are already signs that Rodgers has that level of trust with Lazard. The 26-year-old had career-highs in catches (40), targets (60), receiving yards (513) and touchdowns (eight) in 15 regular season games (13 starts) last year, so a 1,000-yard season in 2022 would be a huge leap for him. He'll be receiving a lot more attention from opposing defenses, too, so it remains to be seen how Lazard handles it. For fantasy purposes, consider him a WR3/4 with upside.
