Andrew Benintendi Will Require Surgery
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Andrew Benintendi (wrist) is likely going to be sidelined throughout the rest of the regular season. This is the worst case scenario for the young outfielder who suffered a hand injury on Friday. The results came back and Benintendi has broke the hook of the hamate bone in his right hand. He'll require surgery for this injury, which should knock him out for the rest of the regular season. His status for the postseason is unknown, but this is bad news for a Yankees offense that is already struggling. Aaron Hicks and Oswaldo Cabrera are expected to see increased playing time, but have nowhere near the same fantasy value as Benintendi.
