Jeff Wilson Jr. Likely To Have Increased Workload
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. has a chance to really make an impact this upcoming season. Wilson will be the primary backup with Trey Sermon gone and JaMycal Hasty getting released. Elijah Mitchell will be the starter, but Wilson should still see plenty of action this upcoming season. He finished with 294 rushing yards on 79 carries with two touchdowns through nine games last season. Those aren't great stats, but he was also logjammed at times. Now, Wilson is the No. 2 back with Tyrion Davis-Price listed as the third-string option. There is certainly upside here, especially if Mitchell is forced to miss time with injuries. Wilson is worth rostering in deep leagues and has strong stash value.
