Marlon Mack Gets Released By Texans
2 years agoHouston Texans running back Marlon Mack has been released by the organization. The team moved on from him in late August, but decided to bring him back. Now, Houston has decided to completely move on from Mack instead of carrying him on the practice squad. The expectation is that rookie Dameon Pierce will get a bulk of the carries with Rex Burkhead being the primary pass catcher. At the moment, Pierce looks like a strong RB3 and Burkhead should have some PPR value. As for Mack, he'll have a chance to catch on with another organization before the season begins. He rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2019, but suffered an Achilles tear in 2020. Mack never looked the same since the injury, but hopefully he'll land a depth spot somewhere. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Mack to have fantasy value to begin the season.
