Zach Wilson Still In Play For Week 1 Start
2 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters on Monday that quarterback Zach Wilson (knee), who is dealing with a bone bruise and meniscus tear, had a workout on Monday and is potentially in play to start in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. The team will make an official announcement on Wednesday. If Wilson isn't ready, it will be veteran Joe Flacco making the start against his former club. Even if Wilson doesn't play in the season opener, it looks like he's made great progress and shouldn't be out for too long to begin the year. The 23-year-old has plenty of weapons on offense and should be able to take a step forward in Year 2, but he should still be considered a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes until he shows us more.
