2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers signed former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Preston Williams to their practice squad on Monday. Williams was waived by the Dolphins last week and went unclaimed. The 25-year-old was a starter in his rookie season in 2019 and finished with career-highs in receptions (32), targets (60) and receiving yards (428) while scoring three touchdowns in eight games (seven starts). But he's played in exactly eight games in each of his three NFL seasons and bottomed out in 2021 with just six catches on 16 targets for 71 yards and no touchdowns. In Carolina, he'll merely serve as receiver depth behind DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson, Terrance Marshall Jr., Laviska Shenault Jr., Rashard Higgins, Andre Roberts and Ish Smith.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
