Pessimism Surrounding Lamar Jackson's Extension Talks
2 years agoThere is a measure of pessimism around Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's contract-extension negotiations with Week 1 of the regular season rapidly approaching this weekend. It appears more likely that, barring a last-minute shift in talks, Jackson will play the 2022 season under the one remaining year left on his current deal, according to one source. Making things perhaps more difficult, the 25-year-old has been representing himself in contract negotiations, but it's still somewhat of a surprise that the two sides haven't been able to get anything done this summer. Regardless, Jackson remains a high-end QB1 in fantasy that will certainly bounce back in 2022 if he's able to remain healthy throughout the season.
