Dennis Allen Non-Committal On Michael Thomas For Week 1
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen was non-committal about wide receiver Michael Thomas' (hamstring) Week 1 status against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday. "We'll see, but he's progressing," Allen said. Thomas missed the final two preseason games with a nagging hamstring injury, but the fact that he was able to get in a limited practice on Wednesday is good news for his status for the regular season opener. Fantasy managers are justified in being skeptical about the 29-year-old after he missed all of last year and most of 2020 with ankle issues. If fully healthy, he could easily be the team's No. 1 receiver this year, but he also has to contend with newcomers Jarvis Landry and rookie first-rounder Chris Olave. If he plays, Thomas will be a WR3/flex option for fantasy managers in Week 1.
