2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (hamstring) is going for an MRI exam on Thursday after he left Wednesday's game early against the Baltimore Orioles with what the team described as left hamstring discomfort. Gurriel landed awkwardly at first base while trying to beat out an infield ground ball. Toronto will view his MRI results on Thursday before determining his next steps. Fantasy managers should be prepared for a potential stint on the injured list. The good news is the Blue Jays are off on Thursday, but the 28-year-old could very well be out on Friday for the series opener against the Texas Rangers. Gurriel is hitting a strong .291/.343/.400 with five home runs, 52 RBI, 52 runs scored and three steals in 453 at-bats in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
