Miles Sanders Will Play In Week 1
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) said he "absolutely" is ready to go and will play in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday in the regular season opener. Sanders was able to practice in full on Wednesday, so he appears ready to go entering the weekend. The 25-year-old didn't help his fantasy stock in training camp while working at times with the second-string offense. Head coach Nick Sirianni still considers Sanders the team's lead back, but he'll continue to cede valuable touches to Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and possibly newcomer Trey Sermon. Sanders failed to find the end zone at all in 2021 and has been slowed by injuries early in his career, making him a low-ceiling RB3/flex to open the 2022 campaign.
