Mac Jones, Patriots Offense Could Struggle
2 years agoThe New England Patriots offense looked out of sorts for most of training camp this summer. They had issues with basic plays, and their offensive line struggled to block. It's not a huge surprise after former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels left the team to coach the Las Vegas Raiders. We should never question head coach Bill Belichick's decisions at this point, but the move to replace McDaniels with Joe Judge and Matt Patricia is a major downgrade. The Patriots offense could make tweaks heading into the Week 1 opener against the Miami Dolphins, or they could be forced to abandon the scheme altogether early in the season. It's not great news for quarterback Mac Jones and the rest of the offense heading into the 2022 regular season. Against a much-improved Dolphins defense this Sunday, Jones should only be used in superflex leagues as a low-end QB2.
