Michael Gallup Officially Ruled Out For Week 1
2 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup (knee) has officially been ruled out for the Week 1 season opener on Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being limited in practice this week. Gallup has made huge strides in his recovery from a torn ACL he suffered in January, but he's not quite ready to make his 2022 season debut. It shouldn't come as a surprise, as Gallup himself said recently he wouldn't be ready for Week 1. It remains to be seen if the 26-year-old will be ready for Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he should be stashed in all fantasy formats, as he'll be the No. 2 WR in Dallas when he's back to full speed. In Week 1, CeeDee Lamb and tight end Dalton Schultz figure to be the top two aerial targets for quarterback Dak Prescott, with rookie Jalen Tolbert and Noah Brown fighting for No. 3 duties.
