2 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry split routes 50/50 with fellow tight end Jonnu Smith in his only preseason game. He caught 50 passes for 603 yards and nine touchdowns (tied for the league lead) across 17 games in 2021. The 27-year-old was targeted 17 times in the red zone and is expected to be quarterback Mac Jones preferred option inside the 20-yard line. He caught eight passes for 117 yards in both games against Miami last season. The Dolphins were generous to opposing tight ends and were ranked 30th in DVOA against the position in 2021. Henry and Smith will be on the field in two tight-end formations.
