Lamar Jackson Looks To Begin Year On A Positive Note
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson didn't secure a new contract as he had hoped. However, he will look to convince the front office to pay him big money after this season and will attempt to begin the 2022-23 campaign on a high note against the Jets. The 2019 MVP is coming off a down year, one that was filled with subpar production and absences. New York prioritized bolstering its defensive unit throughout the offseason. With that said, the Jets may still have its hands full in Week 1. Armed with monetary motivation, Jackson is unquestionably a must-start option on Sunday in every format imaginable. The Ravens could be without J.K. Dobbins (knee). Yet, Mike Davis and Chase Edmonds should prove to be adequate replacements. Jackson will also have Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman to lean on when the going gets tough. If none of those guys are available during a play, the 2018 first-round draft pick is undoubtedly capable of making huge gains using his legs.
