Miles Sanders Impressive In Victory Over Detroit
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders carried the ball 13 times for 96 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for nine yards. The fourth-year back did share the load with teammates Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott, but he was the clear lead-ball carrier of the three. Sanders was explosive, averaging 7.4 yards per carry. However, Philadelphia gave each of the three running backs goal-line carries, and all found their way into the end zone. It is a cruel reminder that the Eagles will rotate their backfield often and does not guarantee that Sanders will get the most valuable touches more often than his backfield running mates. Sanders has another decent matchup next week at home against Minnesota and should be considered an RB2.
