2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Braxton Garrett (oblique) rejoined the team on Sept. 9 after starting a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Sept. 7, when he allowed one run on one hit over 3 1/3 innings, striking out three and walking none on 46 pitches. The Marlins have Garrett listed as the Game 2 starter for a doubleheader on Monday against the Texas Rangers, so he'll be activated from the injured list on Monday. The 25-year-old southpaw went on the IL on Aug. 20 with a right oblique strain. Because he only threw 45 pitches in one rehab start, he'll likely be on a short leash in his first start back on Monday, making him a risky option for starting fantasy lineups. In his 13 starts for Miami this year, Garrett has been solid, posting a 3.67 ERA (3.47 FIP), a 1.21 WHIP, 71 strikeouts and 17 walks in 68 2/3 innings in his third season with Miami.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
