Brayan Bello Takes The Loss Against Yankees
2 years agoBoston Red Sox rookie starting pitcher Brayan Bello took the loss on Wednesday in the 5-3 defeat at the hands of the division-rival New York Yankees. Bello allowed three unearned runs on six hits while walking one and striking out six in five innings pitched. The 23-year-old Dominican didn't receive any help behind him, as the Red Sox made two errors that led to the three unearned tallies on his line. Bello is now 1-6 in his first 10 major-league outings (eight starts). He also carries a 5.10 ERA (2.76 FIP), a 1.70 WHIP, 42 strikeouts and 21 walks in 42 1/3 innings. Since July 29, he's allowed just 10 earned runs while walking 13 and striking out 33 in 30 1/3 frames over five starts.
