In the preseason, we brought you Daily League Strategy Part 1 and Part 2. Now, all season long, I will be giving you my advice on whom to start in your daily fantasy lineups. For now, this advice will cater to those who play on Fanduel. They offer some of the best gaming options for beginners, intermediate, and expert level players. Whether you are new to the daily fantasy scene or have been playing for years, our columns will be up-to-date and useful for all levels of experience. Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for all games on April 29th, 2013:
One Plus Player for Monday:
Carlos Pena - Super cheap at $2,700, he's 14-for-43 with 6 HR against Pettitte
RotoCole's Primary Fanduel Lineup:
P: Wade Davis ($5,300) - Faces a weak Indians lineup with only one hitter (Reynolds) who has good historical numbers against him; I like Davis's recent performances and he's 2-0 with a 2.89 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in two games against the Tribe.
C: Victor Martinez ($3,000) - 3-for-5 in his one game against Pelfrey (who has been atrocious this year); you can see I like the Tigers.
1B: Prince Fielder ($4,700) - 5-for-14 lifetime against Pelfrey with a HR. I like his chances to hit a bomb tonight.
2B: Robinson Cano ($4,600) - Lucas Harrell is getting smoked by left-handed hitters this year to the tune of an .895 OPS.
3B: Miguel Cabrera ($4,900) - Barely gone a game without an RBI + Pelfrey has a 7.94 ERA on the year = Miggy will own Pelfrey.
SS: Pete Kozma ($2,300) - Kozma has a 7-game hit streak going, so he's an OK cheap option that allows me splurge on other positions.
OF: Austin Jackson ($4,000) - Jackson has been HOT; he is 2-for-4 against Pelfrey, and Pelfrey stinks.
OF: Brett Gardner ($3,300) - Again, Harrell is getting owned by lefties
OF: Ichiro Suzuki ($2,900) - Again again, Harrell is owned by lefties, and I like Ichiro's chances to break out against him.
