Week 16 Fantasy Football Rankings
Rankings Highlights
QB: This week, we separate from our peers on big-name quarterbacks Jay Cutler and Tom Brady. With regard to Cutler, he just has so many offensive weapons at his disposal, and he's facing a fairly weak Philadelphia defense-- you only have to look to Josh McCown's recent success to get a baseline indication of what a healthy Jay Cutler can do against the porous Eagles secondary. As far as Tom Brady goes, you never want to count out the Golden Boy. In a rematch of the 2012 AFC Championship Game, you know that Brady is going to bring his A-game. Missing Gronkowski will be tough, but Brady has historically shown unparalleled skill in distributing the ball to a variety of receivers, and after all the extra work they put in this week to address the problems made evident in the tough Week 15 loss against the Dolphins, we think Brady will come to work on Sunday with a chip on his shoulder.
RB: Who could be #1 aside from Jamaal after last week's game, right? Well apparently the other experts like Shady McCoy better because of his matchup vs. the swiss cheese Chicago run D. Regardless, it doesn't really matter since you're starting either of these guys. There aren't too many surprises in our rankings but we do like the chances for AP's talent and Lynch's beastliness to overcome the solid run D's of the Cards and Bengals a little more than the other experts do.
WR: We like Antonio Brown to put up top-5 numbers against a very weak Green Bay secondary, but the real value play at WR is going to be Brown's teammate Jordy Nelson, whom we expect will be a top-10 WR in Week 16. TY Hilton should exceed his consensus ranking, providing solid WR2 value along the way. Andre Johnson owners should not necessarily expect a top-10 performance, but he will likely still fill up the stat sheet enough to meet WR1 value.
TE: Mark us down as big fans of Tim Wright vs. STL this week. If you're in a 12-14 team league and you're starting a bubble waiver wire tight end, then Wright could be your guy. No other real shockers here honestly - we don't like Jordan Cameron as much as the other experts but you're starting him regardless most likely.
