BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
ANALYSIS: Mitch Moreland of the Texas Rangers had a bit of a breakout season in 2013, and showed off some of the power the Rangers have been waiting for. He slugged 23 home runs in 462 at bats while driving in 60 runs. If he can stay healthy he could be looking at a true breakout season in 2014 as the Ranger's full-time designated hitter in a stacked lineup. First base is pretty deep this season, as it is most seasons, so Moreland will not be the first name you are seeking. But he is only owned in 5% of leagues right now, and should be considered off the waiver wire - especially in deeper leagues. If you're in a more shallow league or don't have room for him on your roster now, but see him have a quick start in April and May, snatch him up off the waiver wire. He is battling a strained oblique right now, but if he overcomes it I'd expect him to put up around a .250 BA, 25 HR, 70 R, and 70 RBI stat line this season.
