BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
ANALYSIS: Mike Olt has earned a spot on the Opening Day roster for the Chicago Cubs. It remains to be seen if he platoons with Luis Valbuena or he is the everyday starter. Either way, Olt seems to have found his stroke after concussion symptoms that hindered his eye sight. Olt hit .273 with 5 HR and 12 RBI in 55 spring training at bats helping him earn the spot on the Cubs roster. The former #22 ranked prospect by Baseball American is looking to finally stick in the big leagues and he may have found that opportunity in a Cubs uniform. Olt’s last full season which was 2012 was a powerful one as he hit .288 with 28 HR and 82 RBI in Double-A. Grab him now off the waiver wire before he ends up costing you too much, especially if you’re in need of power. He can easily get you 20-25 HR this year out of the 3B position.
