BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you’re looking for some cheap power, or are horrified by your current 2B/MI slot, look no further than Dan Uggla. Coming off a horrific year in 2013, where he hit a whopping .179, he still managed to hit 22 HR out of the 2B position. Uggla had laser eye surgery last August to help him with his eyesight and hopefully help him raise his average above the Mendoza line. It might have worked, as he has hit .269 with 4 HR and 14 RBI this spring. Uggla is always a candidate for strikeouts and a low batting average, but he has walked 12 times this spring and has a .403 OBP. This could be a factor of his newfound eyesight. Again, if you are in need of power and you didn’t grab one of the top second basemen, feel free take a chance on Uggla and help your power stats out. Uggla is currently owned in 7% of leagues, making him widely available on the waiver wire.
