Recommended DFS plays for NBA action on 4/9:

PG: Aaron Brooks ($11,543): Despite his rapidly increasing price tag, Brooks may still be one of the top value plays of the night.  With Ty Lawson out, Brooks showed his previous employer, the Rockets, that it was a mistake to trade him.  In that game he posted 24 points, 15 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 steals.  Tonight he gets yet another shot at the Rockets as they visit Denver.  With the Rockets playing a back-to-back in the elevation, Brooks and the rest of the Nuggets should be rested and ready to score in bunches.

SG: Greivis Vasquez ($9,001): Another player who is taking advantage of an injury is Vasquez.  With Kyle Lowry out, Vasquez has stepped into the lead guard role and put up solid numbers.  Over the last two weeks, he's posting 13.7 points, 3.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals a night.  Those numbers could easily double tonight in a matchup with the hapless Sixers who give up points in bunches and are especially bad against opposing guards.  At the price, you will not find much better than Vasquez tonight.

Derrick Williams KingsSF:  Derrick Williams ($6.995): Step up if you dare to the Derrick Williams game of fantasy roulette.  The talented Williams is capable of huge nights out of nowhere, as evidenced by his 26-point and 11-rebound game on March 16th against the Wolves.  Then again, he did put up a 2-point and 0-rebound stinker against the Pelicans a week ago.  With the Kings missing both Rudy Gay and Reggie Evans, Williams should be forced into big minutes, and so he could be a huge spark at a dirt-cheap price.

PF: Greg Monroe ($14,488): In case you haven’t been watching a lot of Pistons basketball, you may not know what kind of roll Monroe is on.  He is averaging a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds over the past two weeks, including three 20-10 games in his past six outings.  With Josh Smith out, Monroe had a huge game Tuesday, putting up 21 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.  It seems likely that Smith will be out again tonight and that should only help Monroe put up huge numbers against the awful defensive frontline of Cleveland.

C: Joakim Noah ($18,261): At this point, it would almost be a surprise if Noah doesn’t manage a double-double each night he plays.  He is currently on a six-game streak of double-doubles, with eight in his past 10.  Along with his dominant rebounding, he is also the best passing center in the game, as his 5.2 assists per game attest.  His opponent tonight, the Timberwolves, have been better defensively in the paint recently with Gorgui Dieng in the lineup, but Dieng is still just a rookie and Noah should be able to have his way with the young center.  Expect Noah and Kevin Love to duel for the title of top fantasy performer in this contest.
