Daily Fantasy Leagues - Fanduel Lineup Picks (4/24)
P: Scott Kazmir ($7,600): Through four starts this year, Kazmir has been dominant. He has pitched 27.1 innings and struck out 24 batters while also posting a stellar 1.65 ERA and 0.77 WHIP. Today he faces a Houston team that struggles to score and is top five in batter strikeouts thus far. Consider Kazmir a near-lock for a good stat line in this one.
C: Yadier Molina ($3,400): Molina is proving again this year why he is one of top fantasy catchers in all of baseball. He is currently on a 13-game hitting streak that has gotten his average over the .350 mark. Combine that with three home runs, 11 RBI and 10 runs, and picking Molina any night is an easy choice.
1B: James Loney ($2,500): The steady Loney has continued his strong play this year with a .302 average to go along with 12 RBI. He also has been hot of late, with four multi-hit games in his last five outings. Today he gets to face Ricky Nolasco who has struggled to a 6.08 ERA in his four starts. For the price, you can’t do much better than Loney.
2B: Brian Dozier ($3,400): Most players who have a batting average hovering around the Mendoza line are not great fantasy options. This year has been an exception for Dozier, as he has contributed six home runs, 20 runs scored, eight RBI and five stolen bases for the Twins. Like Loney, he faces a struggling pitcher in Erik Bedard who has a 6.35 ERA this season. Expect a lot of runs in Tampa today.
3B: Josh Donaldson ($4,000): Yet another player with a good matchup is Donaldson for Oakland. The A’s third baseman has shown a good amount of power this year, as 11 of his hits this year have been for extra bases. He also has a healthy 14 RBI and 15 runs scored, both of which should be on their way up today against left-hander Brett Oberholtzer.
SS: Hanley Ramirez ($4,000): Since being hit in the hand last week Ramirez, has struggled from the plate, going 0-11 in the following three games. However, he got back on track Monday with a hit and stolen base. His price is still fairly high, but because of his talent, a monster fantasy night is always in the cards. Kyle Kendrick has been solid this year, but by no means great, so Han-Ram should be a good play tonight.
OF: Melky Cabrera ($3,300): Melky is looking more like Miguel Cabrera each day! The Blue Jays outfielder is hitting well over .300 with five home runs, 14 runs scored, eight RBI and even three stolen bases. His price still has not moved much this year, so make sure you take advantage and get him in your lineup.
OF: Rajai Davis ($3,100): The Tigers new leadoff hitter clearly is enjoying his new role. The speedy outfielder has scored 11 runs this year and stolen seven bases. With players like Ian Kinsler and Miguel Cabrera behind him in the lineup, he is getting pitches to hit., and when he gets on base, he is scoring at a high rate. Davis also hits right-handed pitching well, so his matchup is also a good one today.
OF: Nelson Cruz ($3,100): Three home runs, three runs and eight RBI-- no, that's not the season line for Nelson Cruz, those are just the last two games! The Orioles offseason pickup has been outstanding this year, and there is no reason to think he will slow down today.
