BALLER MOVE: Add In Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: After Jackie Bradley Jr. initially lost the Center Field position battle to Grady Sizemore, the young Boston prospect has since been recalled, survived the activation of Shane Victorino from the DL, and has now been made the everyday CF. Owned in only 5% of Yahoo leagues, Bradley is hurt a bit by batting 9th most days, but when he does get on base, the top of the order has driven him in 10 times. That, along with 9 RBI and 3 SB with a .712 OPS makes him a decent waiver option. He’s still remembered amongst Boston fans for his killer 2013 spring training which lead to him making the Opening Day roster, followed by underwhelming in the big leagues and being demoted back to the minors. After being called up again in September, he ended the year with a .189 AVG with 18 R, 3 HR, 10 RBI and 2 SB in 95 AB. Now filling the shoes left by Jacoby Ellsbury, JBJ shouldn’t be anybody’s every day OF option, but can still be a nice addition to a team’s bench.
