BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately (If not sooner!)
ANALYSIS: Ladies and Gentlemen, Houston has a starting pitcher worthy of owning in all leagues. You read that right. It's been a long time since Houston had a rosterable starting pitcher, so it's ok if this shocks you a little bit. Let it sink in for a minute. Now here this: Dallas Keuchel has a 47:11 K:BB ratio, which is in the top 10% of all SP. Keuchel just threw a complete game shutout vs. the Texas Rangers, a team that has crushed LHP in 2014 (up until Tuesday night, anyway). Keuchel has a ridiculous jaw-droppingly elite ground ball rate of 65%, which means his great home run rate of .68 for every 9 IP is quite sustainable. Keuchel is only giving up 13.7% of batted balls as line drives, meaning very few hitters are making solid contact. He is inducing a ton of swinging strikes and his solid 7.98 K/9 rate has room for growth. Batter are swinging at a lot of pitches outside the zone and making very poor contact. In short, Keuchel has all the skills you'd look for in a potential ace. He will have his hiccups, and wins will be tough to come by, but this guy has the makings of being a top 10 waiver wire pickup for all of 2014. Act now!
