BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Zach Britton looks to be the new closer for the Orioles, making him an immediate waiver wire pickup and adding to the list of sleepers for leagues that value saves. He picked up Baltimore's most recent save on Thursday evening with a scoreless inning, and has been filthy all season with a 0.80 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 15 K in 22 2/3 IP. Tommy Hunter on the other hand has been struggling all season, with a 6.60 ERA and 1.86 WHIP in 15 IP, including giving up 4 ER against Detroit on Tuesday of last week and racking up 3 blown saves on the young season. Darren O'Day setup for Britton on Thursday, and although he's been great he doesn't appear to be a realistic closer option for the Orioles. He may get saves chances at some point if Britton struggles, and Hunter could in theory regain his form and be given another chance, but for now Britton is the man in Baltimore until he proves different.
