BALLER MOVE: Add in Very Deep Leagues; Continue Scouting in Most
ANALYSIS: Jake DeGrom has completely caught me by surprise so far. DeGrom was one of the Mets young hurlers to get a shot in the rotation when Gee went down with an injury and Mejia got bounced into the bullpen, and he has been a pleasant surprise in 2014. While he has yet to record his first win of the season, he does own a 1.83 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP which shows he's been pretty effective. Or, maybe just a little lucky. His 14:10 K:BB rate is downright bad. His control should improve, and he pitches in a great pitchers park that has helped him so far against formidable offensive teams. I have seen enough good things from Degrom to use him while he is hot and even more so in good matchups, but be careful because he could get blown up in dangerous starts.
