BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues, AL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Roenis Elias, the rookie left handed starting pitcher out of Cuba, has done a respectable job in his first 11 starts making him a waiver wire option to consider. His 7.89 K/9 is 4th amongst all rookie pitchers with at least 10 starts, adding him to the list of this year's rookie sleepers for fantasy baseball. Elias relies on off speed, especially his changeup which he throws 19.7% of the time, 18th most in MLB. He has had control issues this year but has allowed only 1 walk in 3 out his last 4 starts. He is not going to overpower hitters but does have a 9.0 SwStr% (percentage of strikes that were swung at and missed), which is 5th among all rookie starters and 43rd in all of MLB. Elias is the #3 starter in Seattle, so he is going to keep getting the ball every 5th day. Get him in leagues of 12 teams or more, or AL-Only formats if he's still available.
