BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues (if you need saves)
ANALYSIS: Zach Britton is in his first season as a reliever and has started off dominating the opposition in such a fashion that he has grown into the Baltimore closer job. In the past he was an underwhelming starting pitcher who lacked the ability to pitch through the lineup more than once, so the move to the bullpen made perfect sense. Britton has impressed us all greatly so far during this young season. His record stands at 3-0, 3 SVs, a 0.94 ERA, and a 0.91 WHIP while amassing a 18:9 K:BB ratio in 28.2 IP. Britton is atypical for a closer, in that he doesn't have overpowering stuff and instead relies on an elite ground ball rate to get his outs. At 79.7%, Britton has the best ground ball rate in the major leagues. He won't blow many games in dramatic 3-run homer closer style, and he'll give up his fair share of hits, but Britton should be pretty reliable in closing out games for the O's. He probably will not be able to sustain his high level of hurling all season, but if you are in need of saves, he's a fine addition to your fake baseball squad.
