BALLER MOVE: Add in Most Leagues, All NL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jorge De La Rosa is pitching very well recently, making him a very intriguing waiver wire pickup, and one of those starting pitcher sleepers that people aren't paying enough attention to. Currently he is only owned in 39% of Yahoo leagues, but holds a 3.66 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the year with 48 K in 59 IP. He has only given up more than 3 ER once in any of his 10 appearances this year. Over his last 8 appearances he gave up 3 ER once - and either 0, 1, or 2 ER every other time. Pretty consistent stuff. Over the last 30 days, he has a pristine 1.23 ERA with 0.77 WHIP, making him the 44th overall ranked player in Yahoo over that time. And since the beginning of last year, he has a 13-1 record pitching in Colorado with a 2.77 ERA. You get the picture. If he's still available in your league, you may want to consider him tonight against an Arizona Diamondbacks lineup that will be missing Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock (recently injured). He also has a career 2.57 ERA and 1.24 WHIP against Arizona over 101 2/3 innings pitched. Feel free to grab De La Rosa off the waiver wire and see if he can continue his streak of borderline dominance.
