BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jon Singleton has arrived, and he already has a HR in just 12 plate appearances in the majors. Houston will give him every chance to succeed and will bat him in the 5th or 6th spots in the lineup, giving him ample opportunities to drive in runs. Singleton has enormous power, as evidenced by his .544 SLG in Triple-A over 239 PAs.Though Singleton cut down on his minor league K% in a big way this year, he still has swing and miss tendencies that should worry any potential investor / owner. Singleton profiles as a .250 hitter, with a .260 upside at best. The power should get you 15 HR and maybe 55 RBI if you're luck rest of the season, but the average and utter lack of speed make him a Ryan Howard type of player. Unless you play in keeper leagues, Singleton probably won't be a huge difference maker rest of season, but he's still worth owning in deep leagues as a cheap power source.
