BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jarrod Dyson is an outfielder with the Kansas City Royals who was on the left handed side of a platoon with Justin Maxwell. However, Dyson has taken over most of the at-bats with his play so far this year resulting in a .303 AVG and 12 stolen bases. Dyson has always had wheels stealing just under 40 bases multiple times in his minor league career and 34 last season for the Royals. His .356 BABIP is well above his career average of .319, and his walk rate is actually down from career norms as well. That suggests that Dyson has been getting pretty lucky to date but he shouldn't regress as hard as some expect due to the amount of speed he posses. The speed alone makes him a valuable asset and as long as he keeps hitting he should remain on the better side of the platoon he finds himself in. For those in deep leagues he is most likely better than your fourth outfielder. For those in AL only leagues, he may even be better than your third outfielder. For those in shallow leagues, if you're desperate for speed there are worse guys to add to your watch list. Jarrod Dyson is doing all he can to blaze his trail past 2 % ownership. Let's try to help him out!
