Below are some of my DFS lineup picks and player recommendations for today’s daily league games on FanDuel. Some of these players could be sleepers for your FanDuel DFS lineups based on their pricing, matchups and recent performances.
As always, remember to check your players to make sure they are in their MLB starting lineups before lineups lock, and make sure you are doing your own research too for optimal performance!
The most successful daily leaguers are grinders who are constantly tweaking their lineups as the day goes on and fantasy news gets released. Good luck today, RotoBallers!

DFS Leagues – FanDuel Lineup Picks (7/29)
SP: Jeff Samardzija ($8,200): Since moving to the American League, Samardzija certainly has been comfortable. He has racked up over 10 fantasy points in five of his last seven outings, and struck out at least five in seven of his last eight starts. Tonight he faces the Astros who are capable of big nights, but also rank at the top of the strikeout charts.
C: Yan Gomes ($3,700): No catcher in baseball is hotter than Gomes. He has hits in 8 of his last 9 games, and has 7 extra base hits in over that span. The matchup is with Hikashi Iwakuma, which isn’t spectacular, but the way he is hitting makes him a prime catcher target to play in any league.
1B: Brandon Moss ($3,700): Moss has been the model of consistency lately, as he has exactly 1 hit in 7 straight games prior to last night. On the season he has 42 extra base hits and 71 RBI for the high powered Athletics offense. He also has a fantastic matchup against the right handed Feldman, who has a 4.60 season ERA.
2B: Arismendy Alcantara ($3,100): Second base looks fairly shallow tonight, so I will look to save some money with the young Alcantara. He does not provide a ton of power, but does have 7 extra base hits in just 59 at bats. He also has solid speed with 4 stolen bases in that time, and is hitting at the top of the order which helps his fantasy potential.
SS: Jimmy Rollins ($3,100): BvP play of the day alert, as Rollins has owned Dillon Gee in his career. He is 11-for-22 with a homerun and just two strikeouts in their meetings. In addition to that, Rollins has also been hitting well with hits in 6 of his last 7 games coming into tonight. With his price still depressed on FanDuel, now is a great time to jump on the Rollins train.
3B: Todd Frazier ($3,300): Frazier broke out of his slump last night going 2-for-4 with a run against Washington. That should hopefully continue tonight at home against Trevor Cahill, who has struggled to a 5.72 ERA this season. Because of his recent struggles, his ownership number should be down, which should make him an even better play against the rest of the field.
OF: Giancarlo Stanton ($4,700): Power takes on power in Miami, as Stephen Strasburg takes on the Marlins. Stanton has been far better at home this season (as has nearly the entire Marlins team), and has had success against Strasburg in his career. In 26 at bats, he has 9 hits, 3 homeruns and 8 RBI. Because of his multi-home run potential in daily formats, Stanton never makes for a bad GPP play.
Note: If Ryan Howard is in the Phillies lineup tonight, make sure he is in yours. He was benched for three straight games last week, but has been hot when he has been in the lineup and has great BvP numbers tonight.
