BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Marcus Stroman was a highly thought of prospect for the Jays coming into the year. Unfortunately, between May 4th and May 14th, the Blue Jays decided to experiment by having Stroman go to their bullpen. It resulted in a obscene 12.79 ERA, 5.68 K/9, and 2.21 WHIP. The start to his young career led many people to disregard Stroman as having an impact this year.
However, on May 31st the Blue Jays made the decision to put Stroman in their rotation which is where he was used to pitching. How has he responded? By pitching to a 2.11 ERA, 8.11 K/9, and 0.98 WHIP. Maybe this will teach teams to stop experimenting by having their young guys go back and forth between the pen and being a starter. Regardless, that 2.11 ERA is over his past 10 starts and makes him a must add in all leagues. His success is not unsustainable either as his minor league career shows a guy who continually pitched to under a 3.50 ERA with a high strikeout rate. At 49 % owned, Stroman is one of the cheapest ace level producers you'll find on your waiver wire. Let's get that ownership % up RotoBallers!
