BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues / Monitor in All Leagues
ANALYSIS: Will Venable has been quietly heating up recently, and has found his way onto our fantasy baseball waiver wire sleepers list. Venable is a very streaky hitter, but when he gets hot, he can be a really solid fantasy producer. As many will recall, Venable was a fantasy monster for a big chunk of last year's 2nd half run, hitting HRs and grabbing SBs consistently - so hopefully he has some of that left in him for this year's fantasy home stretch. Over the past 7 days, Venable is hitting .391 with 1 HR, 3 RBIs and 2 Runs. Not spectacular, but definitely better than what he's been doing most of the year. Over the last 14 days, he's hitting .326 with 2 HR, 9 RBI and 4 Runs. And over the last 30 days, he's hitting .333 with 3 HR, 10 RBI, 7 Runs while sprinkling in 3 SB. If he can continue to hit for average, and add in some HR and SB in the process, he can be a solid outfield contributor for your fantasy team going forward. I like his upside a lot, as we've seen what he's capable of in the past. So if you have room to grab him off the waiver wire, it's a low-risk high-upside move. You can start him, or stash him, and see if the upward trend continues. He's only 16% owned in Yahoo leagues, so he's widely available for the plucking.
