ANALYSIS: Throughout the preseason there were a lot of fantasy football talk on sleeper picks. Sadly sleeper picks truly don't become sleeper picks by the time draft day comes around, or even after Week 1. This brings me to Travis Kelce, who one of our fellow RotoBaller writers Nathan Calderon recommended 4 weeks ago along with numerous other writers. To highlight some of the reasons why I think Kelce is a nice target for you to monitor, or to pickup:
Name the receiving options on the Kansas City Chiefs besides Bowe... ummm yea suspect at best. Donnie Avery had a nice Week 1 racking up some catches and yardage, but I expect that another receiver will show up in the next few weeks for the Chiefs and it will be Kelce. This preseason he showed that he has the possibility of a big breakout season with 10 catches 185 yrds and 2 TDs in 3 games. Currently Kelce is behind Anthony Fasano on the depth chart, and he didn't get nearly enough snaps or targets in Week 1, but I don't think that will last long. If you are looking for a nice TE insurance plan or upside stash, I'd target Kelce.
